We’re looking for a PR Account Manager or emerging superstar Senior Account Executive looking for their next challenge to join our small but mighty team with 3+ years’ experience across PR and, ideally, integrated communications campaigns. We’re passionate about our craft; we live and breathe making positive change in the world through the work we do, underpinned with deep knowledge and expertise in social purpose and sustainability sectors for a wide range of NGOs, associations, brands and services.

What your time at The Bravery will look like: Our Account Manager is the driving force on any project or account. They are responsible for steering the day-to-day implementation for campaigns and retained accounts, working with the Account Director to manage relationships with key stakeholders of the client, partners, spokespeople and talent.

They will play a role in the development of plans for each of our clients, addressing business objectives with the right marketing/communications solutions - they understand what channels will work for what, and when. They know the media landscape like the back of their hand and hold great relationships with journalists across business, lifestyle, news, and ideally, sustainability, charity sector press, social influencers and talent agencies - or be highly driven to build new ones.

They will then rally the team to execute flawlessly whether its an event, media outreach, social media, content production, market research - and much more - simultaneously and on multiple accounts.

Above all they will love pitching incredible stories and generating news that matters and have a flair for writing and skill in crafting pitches for different mediums, publishers and journalists.

They aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty managing up and down in the team and pitching in to get the job done and achieve spectacular results for the client, the team and the planet. They anticipate the needs of their managers and clients and effectively manage competing priorities to deliver on deadlines.

They are solutions focused and empowered to a great level of autonomy, while having the support and guidance they need from their managers.

This person will have an understanding, if not the experience, of working with creatives, strategists, designers, producers, to deliver on integrated communications campaigns and effectively manage these campaign elements in the overall campaign delivery.

Digital marketing or social media experience is a bonus.

Lastly, this person will be insatiably curious to know more about the world around them, constantly consuming, reading, listening and meeting people to stay on top of cultural trends, consumer behaviour and the media agenda.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and execute multiple campaigns and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets and quality standards and understanding the contribution of PR in the marketing mix to client’s business/communications objectives

  • Actively build and nurture client relationships to build trust, confidence and client happiness

  • Use their depth and passion for media to develop killer media strategies

Core competencies:

  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written

  • Highly organised with attention to detail and accountability to internal and external deadlines

  • Resilient, collaborative, pro-active and solutions driven

  • People person - you will enjoy interacting with a range of people on any given day

  • You will understand the ebbs and flows of agency by recognising there will be busier periods at times

  • An understanding of all media types and media requirements

  • Minimum 3 years communications experience - agency preferable
