We are seeking a confident Social Media and digital PR professional to join our growing team, assisting in execution and strategy development of overall integrated PR strategies and campaigns across our sustainability and for-purpose clients.

What your time at The Bravery would look like: 

  • Conducting social media and digital-focussed media relations campaigns to engage communities, generate growth and action, plus create news and lifestyle content. This includes outreach to influencers, bloggers and digital media platforms to generate coverage within mainstream consumer, environment, corporate and sustainability contacts
  • Running advertising and integrated paid media campaigns across Facebook Ad Manager, bloggers or digital media networks
  • Creating content; long and short form, written and visual, plus forward planning calendars and reactive / proactive
  • Continually expanding and building upon digital, blogger, traditional, influencer and social media networks to further leverage content opportunities – including a year round calendar of media and influencer relationship development making you one of the ‘go-to’ people in this space
  • Development and implementation of creative and engaging digital and social media strategies
  • Managing existing, highly engaged communities and growing / creating new ones
  • Developing creative and inspired tactics to support communications strategies
  • Account management support with the opportunity to manage one of our emerging accounts with full mentoring and support from team to develop skills
  • Staying across both new and traditional media for coverage insights and relevant industry news
  • Curating, understanding and managing data, insights, research and databases
  • Active and face-to-face contribution with clients and sector leaders on various accounts
  • Creative writing, copywriting and development of materials
  • Developing research, audits and sentiment reporting so you have all the stats you need at your fingertips
  • Representing The Bravery at events, plus opportunity to conduct marketing / new business development initiatives – all with the support of the wider team 

Qualifications, experience and personality selection criteria:

  • Previous employment in social media and digital sector, agency preferred (minimum 2 years fulltime in total)
  • Communications degree or diploma desirable
  • Good knowledge of both new media, digital and traditional media channels for different audiences
  • Experience in Facebook Ad Manager across multiple campaigns essential
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. including a persuasive communication and developing leadership style
  • Experience with MS / MAC Office is essential, with Keynote and or Photoshop skills a welcomed addition
  • Strong interest in helping to promote positive environmental and social change – and the sustainability, social cause and not-for-profit sectors
  • Having initiative, and autonomous work style, with other team members and when delivering on the big goals
  • Previous experience delivering campaigns across national and state / territory regions, in both consumer and corporate audiences is desirable
  • Contact list of ‘go-to’ influencer, blogger and digital media contacts is desirable
  • Experience in managing and working with emerging team member/s is desirable 
  • Interest in learning and strong desire to increase professional skills through self learning and formal development (paid by The Bravery)
  • Strong motivation to progress roles in your career

Professional and Personal Development: You will be supported, beyond the day-to-day, to develop your personal and professional skills at The Bravery. This will take the form of mentoring from the Senior Management team, and attending internal training sessions on sustainability and other communications disciplines through our tailored training program.
