    With 6+ years’ experience in social and digital media in an agency environment, our new Social Media Account Director (AMAD) is an experienced team leader skilled at providing expertise and insight to stakeholders at all levels. You are resilient, pro-active and solutions driven and you enjoy interacting with a range of people. You understand the ebbs and flows of agency and recognise there will be busier periods. With a dedicated new business strategy, our SMAD will have a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our business growth, working alongside the senior team to enhance and grow our digital division.     Key Responsibilities:

    • New business creative ideation and strategy

    • Create and implement campaign strategy across all social media platforms

    • Create and implement content, paid advertising, campaigns, and always-on activities to across clients

    • Demonstrate your understanding of digital technologies and ad-manager platforms - Brandwatch, Meta for Business, TikTok, LinkedIn and consumer insights tools

    • Develop and manage a multidisciplinary junior team, to create content and engage audiences, and grow and train your team as required

    • Work with the Director and PR AD on campaign development and analysis

    With a minimum of 4 years experience in public relations and communications, you have demonstrated experience implementing high-level PR comms strategy and campaigns. With a strong ability to identify what makes the news and ignites change, you manage your team and clients to produce compelling stories to create impact for good. You are an excellent communicator, providing strategic counsel to your clients while mentoring and supporting the junior team.

    What You Will Be Doing

    As a crucial part of the team our PR AM manages a diverse portfolio of 3-4 client accounts from across the sustainability and social cause landscape. You play a key role in strategy, creative ideation and implementation. With support from the senior team, our PR AM flexes their new business wings by growth and retention on current accounts, and input into new business tenders.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Agency experience essential

    • Work collaboratively with the senior management team to develop clear and concise PR strategies and implementation

    • Devise media pitching across a range of clients, landing well-messaged coverage that makes a difference

    • Work in an integrated way with the relevant teams to produce advanced media materials such as key messaging documents, plans and issues management

    • Support the senior management team to develop key stakeholder engagement strategies and implementation where relevant

    • Liaise with and provide strategic advice to external clients

    • Key role in creative ideation and strategy

    • Support with our events team to devise impactful moments across Australia

    • Proactively contribute to new business pitching, as well as growing our existing accounts

    • Support with the mentoring and upskilling of junior members of the team

  • PAID Internship - PR and Social Media

    Want to gain hands-on experience and work your way up in an agency doing progressive, impactful, environment-saving work every single day?

    Come and join us! A group of high-performance communicators and social media people at The Bravery.

    This role is part of our Talent Development Program. It is a part time, fixed term contract with full time permanent positions on offer post-internship for the right candidates. We are looking for hungry, passionate people, who want to build their skills and their career.

    We work exclusively in the purpose, environmental, sustainability and social cause sectors. You will gain exposure across consumer, business and government audiences with clients from large national brands, not-for-profits, government entities (from local to federal), and small to medium size businesses.

    The PR & Social Media Intern is a valued member of The Bravery team. Interns will learn useful practical skills that will see them well placed to become a junior communications support person in the industry at-large. Upon completion of their internship, they will be able to demonstrate proficiency in completing the following activities:

    • Updating internal social media channels

    • Maintaining and building media and influencer lists

    • Monitoring media coverage and reporting for client purposes

    • Daily research and media scans for content relating to agency accounts; providing insights and analysis to team members

    • Media outreach to obtain media coverage (with support / mentoring from team)

    • Participating in agency brainstorming sessions

    • Shadowing senior members of the business

    • General beginner tasks such as minute taking, scheduling meetings, and general office admin,

    Qualifications and personality:

    • Applicants who are currently (or close to) completing their final semester of a humanities degree, specialising in public relations, communications, journalism, or a related stream are encouraged to apply

    • Must be available for a minimum of two consecutive days per week, ideally for a three month period (negotiable).

    • Knowledge of the media industry and communications disciplines highly regarded

    • Experience with MS / MAC Office / Google Workspace (i.e. a sound understanding of spreadsheet formatting)

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills

    • Can-do attitude and strong desire to increase professional skills and work your way up in the agency.

    • Passion for and interest in helping to promote positive environmental and social change
