Claire Maloney,

Director & Founder

Founder, and Director, of The Bravery, producing creative, and high-impact strategies and campaigns with implementation multichannel integration capabilities.

This is delivered under Claire’s leadership of 18 years experience in consumer, corporate, not-for-profit (NFP), and association sectors.

Her experience moves through multiple categories; FMCG, waste and recycling, healthcare and wellbeing, product stewardship, energy and carbon, circular economy, technology, mental health, organics, built environment, women’s sector, retail, international aid, fashion, travel and adventure, food and beverage, night-time industries, and environmental conservation.

She is a communications, media, and social media expert within current affairs and issues-rich environments, with specialist issues/crisis management skills.

Claire has served on multiple boards, including girls and women’s education empowerment NFP One Girl, and currently as a Board Member of Comms Declare.

Rachel Harrison, Senior Account Director

Rachel is The Bravery's Account Director, providing senior client consultation and developing strategic campaigns to help brands and organisations create the biggest impact.

Rachel relocated to Sydney from London where she had over eight years of experience in corporate and purpose PR, working with C-suite and business leaders worldwide to build their profile, create a compelling narrative and make a difference. For four years, Rachel represented UN Patron of the Oceans, Lewis Pugh, on his mission to secure 30% of the world's oceans to be protected by 2030, currently the largest conservation drive in history.

Rachel was awarded Headlinemoney PR Rising Star of the Year 2019, nominated and voted for by national and industry media, and was named one of Propel's Top 100 Most Influential PRs In The World 2021.

Felicia Charman, Social Media Account Director

Felicia is The Bravery’s Social Media Account Director, responsible for overarching digital strategy for all clients and leading our internal social and digital team. She brings over 7 years of experience in digital marketing, specialising in building digital strategy, social media growth and content creation.

Originally hailing from Adelaide and previously working for Sparro in Sydney, Felicia has worked with leading national and international ecommerce brands on their integrated digital strategy with both organic and paid channels. She has worked across FMCG, fashion, fintech, charity and NFP clients, focusing on stakeholder management and curating a social first approach for each individual client.

Felicia has trained both internal and client teams of up to 80+ people on the tools, specialising in Meta and TikTok technical skills and creative strategy. Her goal is to always find a way to use the power of social media to communicate with each client’s target audience through content that leaves a lasting impact.

 

Kate Atkinson, Senior Consultant

Kate Atkinson is a senior communications consultant, brand strategist and copywriter with a global career that spans more than 15 years split between NY, London and Sydney.

She has worked for some of the world’s leading lifestyle PR firms including Berlin Rosen and DKC (NY) Purple PR (LDN). She has extensive experience in the purpose-led space working with high profile organisations like The Ford Foundation on a Responsible Travel to Cuba campaign with CREST, Represent Justice, Families Belong Together and The Young Arts Foundation.

Passionate about women's and humanitarian issues and the sweet spot where brands and purpose intersect, she has also worked with clients including Queens Museum, Lincoln Center, Audible, Nike, Beats by Dre, General Motors, Delta Airlines, Singapore Airlines and more.

Kate has also written for several magazines worldwide including Vogue, GQ, Teen Vogue and Dazed Digital on social trends.

Megan Bentley, Senior Account Manager

Originally from South Africa, Megan is a people-driven communications specialist with 5+ years of experience who is committed to making a positive change in the world through her work.

With a background in contemporary culture, design and lifestyle, she led strategic campaigns for a range of leading consumer brands and cultural organisations across Australia.

Since joining The Bravery in 2021, Megan has led campaigns for clients including B-cycle, Kimberly-Clark, Sustainable Winegrowing Australia and Comms Declare.

Megan's skills span media relations & PR strategy, crisis management, brand development, event activations and content creation.

Laura Bestman, Senior PR Manager & Event Producer

Laura is a Senior PR Consultant and Event Producer with 16 years’ experience. Having worked in both Sydney and New York across a diverse portfolio encompassing fashion, lifestyle, beverage, healthcare, sustainability, and not-for-profit sectors, she has a wealth of experience in account management and all facets of public relations.

Laura combines her love for art and music, with her skills in event production and performance to give life to events and activation experiences that are truly unforgettable and resonate with their intended audiences.   

Lara Lightfoot, Business Manager

Lara is excited by sustainable practices and new opportunities for brand recognition and growth in this space.

Providing executive-level financial and business management and administration, including Executive Assistant to the Director, plus team-building, development and talent identification for the business.

They head up a range of special programs and activities to develop a fast-growth business.Their passion for language and communication were used to engage with audiences to grow connections and reach for brands with online communities.

You may also find them delivering media, VIPs, and influencers love through campaign mailers as The Bravery’s in-house Sydney “courier”. Lara is a graduate of the University of Newcastle with a Master of Applied Linguistics and is a multifaceted creative performer of 20+ years.

Corah Fortune, Account Executive

Corah is an Account Executive at The Bravery working across social and PR accounts.

She began at The Bravery while she was completing her study at The University of Technology Sydney, studying Communications & Media Arts.

Corah has a passion for all things media, and has first hand experience within the social media influencer landscape. She is deeply interested in watching how trends track and change, and works to implement her knowledge into everything she does at the agency.

Prue Bowtell, Account Executive

Prue began her work at The Bravery as a graduate and is now an Account Executive working across several of the agencies largest accounts.

She has recently completed her degree in Strategic Communications at the University of Technology Sydney, undertaking a double major in Public Relations and Social and Political Science.

The knowledge Prue has gained from her studies - in addition to her keen interest in environmental sustainability, news and current affairs - means she offers a strong foundation, and understanding of both the media landscape, and social issues, which is reflected in the clients she supports.

Emma Eager, Account Executive

Emma is an Account Executive at The Braverywith a background in paid social and performance media. She has a degree in Communications & Media, majoring in Marketing and Advertising, with a minor in Public Relations from the University of Wollongong.

Emma provides support across a number of client accounts in both the PR and Social Media space. Emma brings a passion for women’s rights, sustainable consumption and fashion, and LGBTQIA+ rights. She is interested in working towards building a better environment and society, providing a strong ethic in continuing to understand the media landscape.
